Java City (Book #3)

REVIEW: We are back in Java City where coffee reigns supreme! The citizens are flawed and funny. The family dynamic is tight and yet fragile. This story is the strongest and most complex of them all. It picks up after Book #2, MOCHA KISSES. So, I recommend that you read MOCHA KISSES first, if you haven’t already.

This story features Robert and Vandross Collier. These two have been together forever! Their love goes back to the days of the playground. Their love for each other has withstood many tests and trials. When the story opens, the test of all tests is hanging over them like a dark cloud. I will not spill the tea here. You will have to discover what’s going on when you read the book. If you have read
MOCHA KISSES, then you have an idea of the predicament the couple is facing. Robert and Vandross’ storyline is spotted with many highs and lows. Because they are a part of a tight-knit squad composed of family and friends, everyone is affected by the decisions that were made early in their love journey. It’s heart-wrenching and devastating, but they persevered.

As you read this well-written story, you will discover that there is a great balance of high points and low points. The high points coming in the form of sheer comical antics that will have you laughing out loud. It’s a well-blended mix that makes for an engaging story. The characterization is on-point from sterling characterization to  well-developed internal and external conflicts, all helping to make this a significant story. The HFN is sublime.

LATTE DREAMS is an entertaining story in an equally entertaining series. I recommend it for your reading pleasure. Author Sharon Blount has established herself as a Class-A writer of Contemporary Romance. You should check her out!
