REVIEW: HIS PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL by best-selling author Jacquelin Thomas is an amazing and heartwarming read. I enjoyed reading this book so much! I’m totally invested in this series. This is the Book #4 in the Polk Island Series. Although each book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend that you read the first three books in the series. The books are as follows: A FAMILY FOR THE FIREFIGHTER, HER HOMETOWN HERO, and HER MARINE HERO.
HIS PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL tells the heartwarming romance story of Aubrie DuGrandpre and Terian LaCroix. Aubrie is a successful chef and she owns two restaurants. Terian is also a chef working at his family’s restaurant. The two of them share a history together as they went to the same culinary school in France until Terian had to suddenly leave without letting Aubrie know. The pair sees each other for the first time in seven years when Aubrie’s cousin invites Terian and his twin sister to a family function that Aubrie is catering. Terian tries to talk to Aubrie but she’s not having it. Terian and Aubrie are both looking to open a restaurant on Polk Island for different reasons. They are looking at the same building to open their prospective restaurants in. The owners of the building have a unique offer for the both of them. Will the pair take the offer and work together? What I loved about this book was the storyline and how it flowed so well. I felt like I was in Polk Island and I want to move there although it’s a fictional island. I also love how Ms. Thomas addresses the topic of forgiveness. She also discusses how we as children always want to be the best and please out parents and family members. This hits home for me and I could to relate to this book so well. As always, I love the family dynamics of this book and the series. It was also good catching up with some of the previous characters from previous book in the series.
Overall, I loved reading HIS PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL. I am totally invested in this series. I cannot wait to see where she takes it to next because with each book I have read in the series, there is a message that has been a blessing to me. Make sure to grab a copy of this amazing book!
