REVIEW: Well, fans, Iris Bolling, the master creator of all that is Lassiter, has done it again! A RISKY AFFAIR highlights the wedding of the youngest Lassiter, Sapphire (Phire) Lassiter to Mayor Lawrence Trent (LT) Palmer. This book is part of the Lassiter Weddings Series that features the uber-accomplished Lassiter siblings. If you are not familiar with the series, you need to get your life together and prepare to do some binge reading. The first book is AN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIR that focuses on Luke Lassiter and his lady, Sasha.

The path to matrimony for LT and Phire is a path that is littered with politics, patriotism, paternity lawsuits, and polarizing racism. If there is anything that we know about the Lassiters and their partners is when you come for any one of them, there is a price to pay. Don’t ever underestimate them or count them out. In this story it’s LT who is in the middle of a family crisis that needs to be handled before his marriage to Phire. His family neither looks like nor acts like the “All-American family”, and it is literally the sins of the father that has placed them in an untenable situation. I love Phire and LT’s story. LT fits right in with the Lassiter family, because he is a force to be reckoned with. Just ask Lawrence Trent, Jr. and his sister, Lauren. You’ll get that when you read the story. LT and Phire are surrounded by the best of the best that includes all the accomplished Lassiter siblings and their spouses, plus the President of the United States and all the resources at his disposal.

There’s a lot of drama going on as Phire and LT plan their wedding. However, in spite of all the drama, our couple still finds time to “get it on” in a most steamy way. The wedding is just one of the high points of this story thanks to Adam and Amber Lassiter. I’ll just leave that right there. The Epilogue delivers on an incredible HEA for Phire and LT.

A RISKY AFFAIR is a great read that, when it all comes down, is about family. The Lassiter family is one of my favorite book families, and I highly recommend that you get to know them. The good news is that you can read A RISKY AFFAIR as a stand alone. It’s a brilliantly written entertaining story, but it’s ten times better if you are familiar with all the players. I’m just saying!

I can’t wait to read the next story,
A FAMILY AFFAIR, another Lassiter wedding novel that features Matt Lassiter and the soon-to-be Leah Lassiter. In the meantime, pick up a copy of A RISKY AFFAIR. You can thank me later.
