REVIEW: UNTIL NOW is the first book in Delaney Diamond’s Plan B series. The book opens with Cruz Cordoba in his zone: dangerous, confident, sexy and calculating all at once.

We go on a journey with Cruz as his next mission is to get close to Shanice Lawrence to obtain information about something she was involved in. Shanice loves to read and has totally fallen for the hot guy named “Vincente” that frequents the book store where she works. Cruz plays the undercover role of the attractive accountant who loves to read, and is also a bit unsure of himself, perfectly. Shanice and Cruz have a lot in common and enjoy getting to know each other. Cruz thinks Shanice is the “most beautiful woman he’s ever seen”. They give in to their feelings which develop over a short period.

As the drama unfolds, Cruz is at the right place at the right time to be Shanice’s protector. Once Shanice gets reacquainted with Cruz, he’s much different than “Vincente” and she knows he’ll take care of her at all costs. He’s even sexier than she thought and her attraction grows stronger. For Cruz, the line gets blurred between the mission and real life.
Shanice simply warms his heart.

Once the action starts, the pace quickens. We get to meet a supporting character from the agency that lends a helping hand. In the midst of this, Cruz realizes that although he likes what he does and it’s become a way of life, being with Shanice makes him think about settling down. Going through threatening situations definitely brings the two together and they see a future as a couple.

I appreciated Ms. Diamond letting readers know the book ends on a cliffhanger, but I was still totally surprised.
UNTIL NOW is Ms. Diamond’s first romantic suspense, and it has all the right elements. I highly recommend it and I’ll be on the lookout for the conclusion in March of 2021.
