Romantic Suspense

REVIEW: Jade Black, youngest daughter of Jordan and Sage Black, is a grown woman, ready for love, marriage, and the proverbial ‘baby carriage’. She has literally targeted her future lover, husband and baby daddy. The man she wants is Julian Houston, a top agent in the Diamond organization. He is dangerous, and so is Jade. Jade is a trained Heir. If you are a follower of this series, then you are well aware of the ramifications of that statement.
I like this couple. While Jade is convinced that the only man for her is Julian, he is a little hesitant before he commits. It’s complicated for Julian because of his mission. You will understand what that entails when you read the story. However, Julian cannot resist the lovely Jade, and the fireworks begin, romantically and professionally. Out of all the Heirs’ couples, Jade and Julian are now my favorite. Their chemistry is off-the-charts, and together they shatter the danger meter. You are in for a real treat when these two spring into action. Jade is not your typical heroine at all. She is just as brainy and bold as she is beautiful. Julian recognizes that, so he does not try to hold her back or reel her in. That tactic didn’t work at all for Senator Massey. You’ll get that when you read the story.
Besides sultry romance, family challenges, and high impact drama, there is always an “edutainment” (education + entertainment) factor to the stories of gifted writer, D Camille. For JADE, it’s all about the complexities of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and its utilization in society. This SiStar never fails to amaze me with the environmental and technological research that she effectively imports into her stories. It adds an element of realism that propels her stories to another level.
The Black Diamonds, the Uncut Diamonds, the Heirs, plus an assortment of family members are all present and make valuable contributions to moving the storyline along. A representative of that old nemesis, Camille (a loose end), makes an unfortunate appearance, along with a new nemesis, Aria. I loved the “hologram” scene. Jade handles her business. The HEA is delightful as Jade and Julian become Mr. & Mrs. Danger. There’s one more Heir left whose book is yet to come. I am so looking forward to Six’s story, the leader of the Heirs. I can’t leave out Trey, who is Trent’s son to the 4th power. What a story that will be!
I recommend JADE for your reading pleasure, but I have to remind you that it is the seventh book of an excellent continuing series.
