REVIEW: HER SWEET TEMPTATION is Book #2 of the Tillbridge Stables Series. Rina Tillbridge owns a cafe and specializes in desserts. Stuntman Scott Halsey is working on a film on location at the Tillbridge Horse Stables, which is owned by Rina’s family. He literally crashes into Rina as she is trying to deliver some of her decadent desserts to the cast and crew. Scott is quite pleased with himself that he is able to save Rina and her pies. Rina is not amused with Scott, or with her reaction to how he makes her feel after the brief encounter.

Scott is hoping to get to know Rina better and decides to make a trip to her Café, Brewed Haven. There are some much needed plumbing repairs and handy man work at Rina’s building. Coincidentally, Scott spent his child hood shadowing his father at his plumbing company so he is at the right place at the right time. The story builds from there as Rina reluctantly gives in to her attraction.

Scott thinks Rina’s smile is beautiful and her desserts have him hooked. He is hoping to sample other “sweet” things about her as well. Scott is empathetic and intuitive and at one point can feel when Rina needs to get away. He introduces her to his “stunt” world by given her a little taste of his day to day. The experience is invigorating for Rina and just what she needs to take a break from worries about the café.

Rina is learning to trust again. She has lingering issues related to her previous relationship and has to forgive herself for things that happened in the past. Scott is realizing he has commitment issues, similar to what he sees in his father.  Ms. Crespo takes us on the journey of Rina and Scott getting to know each other and resolving their individual issues along the way.

There are a few bumps on the road to HEA, but the reader sees the light at the end of the tunnel. I liked the supporting characters that round out the story. Both Rina and Scott’s sisters ultimately want what’s best for them. Tillbridge, along with the staff at the Brewed Haven café, is a close knit community and everyone is like family. The description of her pies had me ready for dessert! This is my first read by Nina Crespo and it won’t be my last. I enjoyed
HER SWEET TEMPTATION and recommend it.
