REVIEW:  What a great way to begin a new series! Basel Ali, a suave hero with an impressive resume and the CEO for his family’s company, is featured along with Aya Masters, an equally impressive heroine who is a textile specialist.

Basel Ali is a member of a highly accomplished family whose home base is Atlanta, Georgia. The family’s history is admirable and inspiring. He, along with his parents and five brothers, oversee, Ali International. As the story begins, Basel travels to Singapore to expand the company’s interest in the textile market. Singapore is where he and Aya Masters meet. The chemistry is undeniable, and it’s where their love journey begins.

I like everything about this couple because they are ideal for each other. Ms Granger writes a heck of a love scene that is intense, erotic, and emotional. As much as Basel and Aya have in common, there is that one thing that sets them apart. While Basel can trace his family lineage back many generations, Aya knows nothing about her ancestors. One name will change her life forever. The storyline takes a sharp turn from a blissful love story to a tension filled confrontation set in Sierra Leone where Aya finds herself entrenched in an ancient marital tradition.

I love a story that expands its scope and incorporates different countries and cultures. Notable author, Celeste Granger, enhances this one by weaving exotic international settings into the well-developed storyline. Kudos to the author!

In
BASEL, you will meet the immediate members of the Ali family who contribute to the intrigue of the story and the development of the main characters. Basel’s brothers, Khalid, Ameer, Tareef, and Israel are introduced in this story. O’Shea, the sixth brother, is actually introduced in NEVER MOORE, Book #5 of Ms Granger’s All That & Moore Series. The other side characters who have important roles are Aya’s aunt, Tenneh, and a man named Jafari. No spoilers. You’ll have to read the story to discover their connection. The HEA is wonderful! It lives up to the Dedication that states, “to those who believe when love is destined, there’s nothing that can stop it.

BASEL is an entertaining, enjoyable and engaging read. It’s a strong start to a new series. I highly recommend it for your reading pleasure. I look forward to Israel’s story, the second book of the series. In the meantime, grab a copy of BASEL. You won’t be sorry
