REVIEW: Crayson, “the charming son-of-a-bitch”, of the Madden Brothers certainly lives up to that moniker when we first meet him. I wasn’t so sure where talented author Sherelle Green was going with this character. Why is a “give an inch; he’ll take a foot”, dramatic, no filter character like Crayson given a starring role with his own book? There are not too many redeeming qualities to this man who, when we first meet him, is sexually involved with another man’s wife. Crayson is the third brother of identical triplets, Caden and Carter. Rounding out the Madden brothers are Malik, Micah, and Malakai, #BLESSED BY MALAKAI. Yet, as the adage goes, “There is somebody for everybody”, and Crayson’s “somebody” is Jordyn Jameson, best friend to Malakai’s fiancé Avery. Even though Crayson craves the attention of Jordyn, he remains as obnoxious as ever, and she continuously ignores his advances. The one advance that Jordyn can not ignore is when Crayson informs her that he has purchased the building next to her business, a dessert bar, for the purpose of opening up his third cigar lounge. To say the least, Jordyn is not a happy camper.

In all honesty, I must say that Jordyn is the perfect woman for the outspoken, take-no-prisoners Crayson. As the story unfolds, we find that they are both serious about their business. Jordyn is just as forward thinking and astute when it comes to her bottom line as Crayson. The storyline moves beyond the overly flirtatious nature of Crayson for Jordyn to a whole new level that has Jordyn and Crayson entering into a partnership that involves Jordyn demanding that he signs a non-disclosure agreement. I will certainly not spill the tea, but it’s an ingenious plot twist. Kudos to the author! After Crayson agrees to signing the NDA, we discover some intriguing truths about the heroine which raises Crayson’s level of respect and admiration for Jordyn, the Boss. I’ll leave that right here. It’s a intriguing storyline. I would be remiss if I omitted mentioning Jordyn’s history and family issues which also become a compelling plot point of the story.

The Maddens dominate the field of captivating side characters. They are present in full force since this book of the series also chronicles Malakai and Avery’s pre-wedding activities. However, I must admit the Bonus Scene that the author included left me speechless. Loved it! I totally agree with the author that friends don’t do that. Sorry, no spoilers here. Read the book.

#CLAIMING CRAYSON is a well-written, Contemporary Romance that will leave you craving for more. As a disclaimer, I must let you know that there is quite a bit of profanity through out the book, but it does not detract from the enjoyable storyline. I recommend #CLAIMING CRAYSON for your reading pleasure
