LT Palmer had no idea that his life was about to turn upside down when he meets Sapphire Josephine Lassiter, better known as “Phire”.  Phire has never forgotten the handsome millionaire who pulled her away from a confrontation during a political event. Neither has she forgotten the spark of desire that shot through her body when they danced together at her brother’s wedding. Phire declared LT to be trouble and vowed to stay far away from him. Nine months later she realizes that there are some things you can’t control. LT tries to keep Phire at a distance, but he too comes to realize that she is his destiny whether or not he is ready for her. LT decides to enter the political arena and run for mayor of Richmond. With Phire’s penchant for mouthing off, he cautions her to think before speaking. He learns that with his “Phire” that is easier said than done.

Phire is the youngest of the Lassiter clan. That smart mouth of hers often gets her into trouble but it’s part of her charm and makes her all the more loveable to her family. LT is a multi-millionaire who runs one of the leading software companies in the world. However, in the back of his mind has always been the desire to seek revenge on the person who took his mother away from him when he was just a toddler.

PHIRE: I’M JUST SAYING is an enjoyable story that catches your attention from the very first page. This author knows her craft and she does it so well. Just know that when you pick up a novel by Iris Bolling to get ready for a great story with excellent writing, and rich, multi-faceted characters that will keep you enthralled for hours. This book definitely delivers that and much more. Her character descriptions are well-defined even down to the smallest detail, which makes it easy to picture them in your mind. Excellent pacing, great plot and just an all-around fascinating story. With the entire Lassiter clan in attendance, the dialogue is interesting and downright hilarious. I also enjoyed hearing about familiar characters from earlier books. The trip down memory lane is appreciated.  And with her first-rate writing skills, Ms Bolling ties everything together rather nicely.

This was another great read by
Iris Bolling. Whenever I read one of her stories it leaves me wanting more. Her stories are attention getters that hold your interest until the very end. I recommend this book and all the others in this series. My new catchphrase is “I’m just saying.”
