In spite of being a successful investment banker, Malcolm never lost his love for ranching nor his love for Veronica. Veronica seems perfectly content managing her duties as a librarian and not having Malcolm in her life. I loved how their relationship thawed and then caught fire. That trip to Chicago was everything! You’ll get that when you read the story.
The minor characters are composed of family and friends of the hero and heroine. They all play a role in the intrigue of the story and the development of the main characters. Veronica and Malcolm’s HFN prove that they are meant to be together.
