REVIEW: It’s wonderful being to be back in Catalina Cove. This book marks our 7th visit to this picturesque community that is one hour away from New Orleans. Through this series we have met some alluring characters. Joining them is our female lead, Zara Miller, a Catalina Cove native and the sister of Vaughn Miller (ONE CHRISTMAS WISH, Book #5). The male lead is Evans “Saint” Toussaint, who is also a native of Catalina Cove. Zara and Saint have history, but I’ll get to that later.

The story begins when Zara is headed to Catalina Cove to see her big brother Vaughn and seek his comfort. She is in a bad place. I’ll allow you to discover what went down. When a hurricane forces Zara to layover in New Orleans, she books into a hotel and meets Saint. Their encounter is flirtatious, steamy, erotic and memorable, but only meant to be one night only. Fast forward some two years and six months later, at the bridal shower of her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Sierra, guess who shows up at the celebration? Yes, Saint! He has moved to Catalina Cove permanently to help his aging parents. On Zara’s fourth visit to the Cove, she would be extending her stay at the cottage on Pelican Bay that her late mother bequeathed to her, and long enough for her and Saint to get “reacquainted” with the need to explore the chemistry they both felt, and the need to be together at the top of both their lists.

The minor characters and side characters who appear in this story are like old friends. You will recognize them if you have been reading the captivating stories of this series. The Cove is expanding and growing, but not so fast as to lose its charm. I like all the romantic elements of engagement parties and weddings that happen in this story. It seems Catalina Cove is brimming with love connections. The Epilogue occurs on the biggest “Love” day of the year, and it’s Zara and Saint’s Day! It’s officially “One and Done” for them. So epic!

I enjoyed reading
THE COTTAGE ON PELICAN BAY because of its relatable characters, heartwarming storyline, and the way it captured relationships with authenticity and charm. This series, Catalina Cove, gets better and better with each book. I recommend it for your reading pleasure.
