REVIEW: Well fans, Aja has done it again! SIREN, her latest release and Book #1 of The Enigmatic Affairs Series, is out and it is so good. Sienna Ray and Taraj Ferrell are two extremely talented singers whom the music industry decides to promote as a couple to boost their rise on the music scene. It’s all about marketing, and what the “label” believes will also boost their bottom line…even if it means selling the public on a make-believe romance.
I love how Aja displayed the meetings to setup the “fake” romance scenarios that were clearly meant to promote Sienna and Taraj as “The Couple” to their adoring fans. One thing that “the suits” did not consider in their carefully strategic moves, is that they were dealing with two people who are not new to the industry, but true to the industry. You’ll get that when you read the story. Sienna and Taraj are not only super talented, but they are authentic. They refuse to be led and controlled by strategy and branding. Their gifts, talents, and authenticity will direct them to the HEA that they so richly deserve.
The minor characters played significant roles in this story as supporters and friends of the main characters. If you read THE SPARK, then you will recognize Amir and Amaya, who appear in SIREN. I suggest that you read THE SPARK before you read SIREN. There is a definite connection. Speaking of connections, there are several that connect this story to The Enigma Universe: MAESTRO, WE ARE ONE, and SHINE. They are all stellar reads. You can thank me later.
SIREN is a soulful, emotional, poetical and lyrical love story. You will feel the rhythm of Taraj and Sienna’s love as you read their story. Make sure you read ‘6/8’, the bonus scene. It is a perfect soundtrack to their lyrical life. The playlist is fire, too! I recommend SIREN for your reading pleasure.
