REVIEW: Nashville, Tennessee is the backdrop for this story by the incredible storyteller, Joy Avery! Meet Journi Moore and Von Thornton, the central players in this delightful story. I love Joy Avery’s stories. She has a great sense of humor that crosses over in her stories. Journi, a native of Ralleigh, North Carolina is visiting Nashville for her birthday. However, she’s alone..no girlfriends or boyfriend. I’ll get to that later. Von is a native of Nashville, and he (Mr. Barstool Stranger) and Journi have the sweetest meet-cute at her hotel’s bar. You’ll get that when you read the story.
As I mentioned Journi is alone in Nashville. Her ex broke up with her a week before their planned trip. As fate would have it, Von is also a “free” man. Wait until you read what happened between him and his ex. I love this couple. Journi and Von are so good together. Seeing the sights of Nashville with them is a pleasurable experience. As a couple, Journi and Von complement each other from their different childhood experiences to their future dreams and aspirations. If Yin and Yang were personalized, Von and Journi would be it.
There are four aspects of this story that I really liked. First, the tour of the city of Nashville that Von gave Journi highlighted some of the real-life attractions that the city offers. If you have visited the city, you will immediately recognize the sights. If you haven’t been there, the detailed descriptions will have you adding Nashville to your bucket list of places to visit. Secondly, I liked the scenes where the “Ex’s” made an appearance. First, there was “Mr. Stranger Danger” (Daniel) who was shown the door for the last time. Then there was “Ms Glamour” (Victoria) Von’s Ex who was properly put in her place. Third, I enjoyed the birthday surprises that Von and Journi gave to each other; so heart-warming. Fourth, I loved the Epilogue and our couple’s beautiful HEA experience. It’s unforgettable! Did I mention that this couple is hot! Their love scenes break the sizzle meter.
The minor characters are strong and very essential to the storyline. Journi’s parents are great as they support Journi, but two characters who stand out are Ms. Earlene and Titus who are connected to Von’s childhood. I would love to read a story that features Titus. He deserves his own HEA! IJS.
NASHVILLE UNFORGETTABLE is such an easy, flowing read, that I read it in no time. There is so much more to this story that I just don’t have the space to mention, but you’ll get the full experience when you read the book. I highly recommend it for your reading pleasure.
