REVIEW: The second book of The Intimate Series features Keisha “Kee” Robinson, bestie of Simone Reid (INTIMATE ALLURE, Book 1#) and Lorenzo “Ren” Washington. Keisha is the successful owner of Sensual Pleasures, an on-line sex toy shop. She is also a promoter of sexual wellness. Lorenzo is an exec in his family’s business, Washington Sports Marketing Agency, while trying to expand his business, Legacy Sports Marketing Agency. Lorenzo and Keisha have a history. They were back-in-the-day college lovers, who due to circumstances that I will allow you to discover, went their separate ways.
The story opens with a brief flashback to Keisha and Lorenzo’s college days at University of Southern California. Ten years later, we follow Keisha and Lorenzo as they both attend their reunion and see each other for the first time in ten years. There is still an attraction between them that cannot be ignored. The author aptly calls it a “magnetic attraction.” Their friends see it, and they subtly leave them alone to “talk.” Well, everybody but Deja Cummings, notorious for being an agitator and instigator. Despite Deja’s shenanigans, Keisha and Lorenzo slip into their own private world while dancing, and escape to a private room to “talk.” Let me tell you, talking is not all they do. Author Sean D. Young leaves nothing to the imagination as her lead characters engage in a steamy interlude of love.
The tension, and the reason for their 10-year separation is still hanging over Lorenzo and Keisha like a dark cloud. Why did Lorenzo walk away and ultimately let Keisha go? No spoilers, dear readers. You must read this beautifully written story of second chance love for yourself – one of my favorite tropes, by the way. I also love the way the author enlists music to enhance the storyline. Lorenzo’s playlist that he put together for Keisha is off-the-chain!
Both Keisha and Lorenzo’s families and friends are very involved as minor characters. They provide advice and contribute to the development of the main characters. On the other hand, there is LJ, Lorenzo’s oldest brother who is intense and brings the tension with a capital “T.” Yet Lorenzo and Keisha manage to reach their HFN despite what life threw their way.
I love this series. Versatile writer Sean D. Young is giving vibes of passion, seduction, and intimacy is this series of stories and I am here for it! I recommend INTIMATE SEDUCTION for your reading pleasure.
