ROMANTIC SUSPENSE

REVIEW: Giselle Kinard was a dance instructor who flees from her controlling and dangerous fiancé. Justin has always told her that if she ever tries to leave him, he will make her regret it…and the people she cares about would die. Even though Giselle is frightened, she knows that there is no way she could ever pledge her life to someone like that. So, she does the only thing she can. She runs. Giselle bounces around several places before she settles down in Taller’s Creek, Alaska. She lands a job at a bookstore praying that Justin will never find her. Quincy Lankard comes into the bookstore one day to buy some books for his six-year-old nephew’s birthday. Quincy and Giselle hit it off and start spending time together. Quincy is a Native investigator for the Alaskan Bureau of Investigations. When Giselle’s friend is murdered, she tells Quincy about the threats her ex made. Other bodies turn up and all are attached to Giselle. The hunt is on for the serial killer before he can make good on his promise to kill Giselle.
Giselle left her home in Chesapeake, Virginia to escape the fiancé she found to be domineering, jealous, and dangerous. She refused to go through with a doomed marriage. And she did not want to end up being a statistic of domestic homicide. Quincy is an Alaskan Native investigative assigned to look into a series of suspicious deaths. His investigation leads to one person in the center of all the recent murders.
HIDING IN ALASKA is another action thriller by this author. It involves a search for a sadistic killer wanted for multiple murders, mostly women. But he will kill anyone who stands in the way of his next target. The author did an excellent job with this story. The characters are strong, relatable, and likable. In the midst of the drama involved in a manhunt, a loving relationship is developing between the two main characters, Giselle and Quincy. Romance adds more substance to the story and guarantee an uplifting ending for those with love on the brain. Who doesn’t like a little romance in the shadow of danger. As usual, kudos to this author for a job well done!
HIDING IN ALASKA is a thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining page turner whodunit that is sure to keep you engrossed in every last page to the end. If you are familiar with the author’s work you know this to be true. Happy reading.
