REVIEW: National Best-Selling Author, J.L. Campbell has written a charming holiday story that is set in her country of Jamaica. Regina Wright, a remarkably busy entrepreneur who runs a catering company, is the leading lady in this story. Regina, also known as Gina, is the mother of a precocious six-year-old, Luca, whose letter to Santa adds to the story’s Christmas magic. Speaking of Santa, let me introduce you to Isaac “Zack” Winters, the hero, who also doubles as the daycare Santa in the story. You’ll get that when you read this delightful holiday tale.

Gina’s holiday season is not off to a good start. There are some obstacles that occur that add to her already hectic holiday schedule. Gina is blind-sided by a series of events that threaten her catering business, All Things Tasty. Her business partner, Nichelle, and Gina’s boyfriend, Boyd, both add to the mayhem that Gina must deal with at the height of the bustling holiday catering season. I will allow you to discover what happened when you read the story. I love the part that Luca plays in this story. His heart-to-heart talk with “Santa” (who just happens to be Zack) starts the proverbial wheels rolling in this story about an “I don’t need anyone’s help” caterer and a “I’m here to help where I can” programmer. Gina and Zack are meant to be because they are literally “bumping” into each other. You’ll get that when you read the story.

Family is especially important to our lead characters. Both Gina and Zack’s family members have minor roles that contribute to the intrigue of the story and their development as a couple. There is a great scene where Gina mistakes Zack for his twin brother, Eli. The HFN for Gina and Zack is so sweet!

I loved this well-written and entertaining holiday story. I recommend
DAYCARE SANTA for your reading pleasure. It’s a great story to read at your leisure during this holiday season.
