ROMANTIC SUSPENSE
REVIEW: COLTON’S BLIZZARD HIDEOUT written by the very talented storyteller, Deborah Fletcher Mello, is Book #7 in a twelve-book series. This Romantic Suspense story hits all the right buttons for me! First, let me introduce you to Lizzie Colton, a graphic designer, and daughter to Duke and sister to Malcolm, Greg, and Max. They are a tight-knit family, and well-known in Owl Creek. Lt. Ajay Wright, a member of the Owl Creek PD, takes the leading man role along with his search and rescue trained lab, Pumpkin.
Lizzie is in trouble. She has been kidnapped, hounded, and threatened by some nefarious characters. In spite of her family’s efforts to keep her safe, and the efforts of Ajay and the police department, Lizzie is plagued with death threats, mysterious packages, and a bone chilling message, “We’re coming for you.” To say the least, Ajay has his hands full with keeping Lizzie safe and sane. Let’s not forget the attraction that is growing between them. Ajay is saddled with the complicated task of keeping Lizzie safe and alive, while at the same time he is falling in love with her. The feeling is mutual.
Just wait until you discover who is a part of this torture that Lizzie is experiencing. No spoilers, but it’s going to rock you! On another note, that Tiberius Wagner is one deranged man. That’s all I’m going to say about that! I love the Colton family and friends who are acting as minor characters in this story as they contribute to the intrigue of the story and the development of the main characters. Ajay and Lizzie are so good together. Their love story builds at the same time they confront the escalating danger that threatens Lizzie’s life. It’s like a maze where the exit is not easily navigated. Yet, they come out, and the sun shines on Ajay and Lizzie. It’s a dreamy HFN.
I enjoyed reading this story, and I know you will, too. Although COLTON’S BLIZZARD HIDEOUT is part of a series, you can read it as a stand-alone. I recommend it for your reading pleasure.
