ROMANTIC SUSPENSE
REVIEW: There is a serial killer on the loose at Addison University in Rendall Cove, Michigan. Paula Lynley is a detective sergeant investigating the case along with other law enforcement personnel. The killer is targeting female professors at the university. His modus operandi is suffocating his victims. Neil Ramirez is a visiting criminologist Paula asks to lend his expertise to the case. She finds herself drawn to the handsome agent and he to her. While Neil and Paula work the case together, they grow closer. Both have recently ended their romantic relationships and are a little hesitant to begin another. But their attraction is so strong they decide to take a chance on each other. Although they begin an affair, they have to remain focused on the killer at large. The killer is getting bolder, and they fear if they don’t find him soon more professors will be murdered. When things start closing in on the killer, Paula becomes a target. But Neil vows to keep her safe.
Paula is a detective sergeant at Addison University’s Department of Police and Public Safety. She is determined to find the person responsible for the recent killings before he escalates. Neil has taken a leave of absence as an ATF profiler. He is currently a visiting professor working in the Criminal Justice department at Addison University while gathering intel on suspected local arms trafficking operations in the area.
CAMPUS KILLER is a hang on to your seat thriller with twists and turns that keep the local police wondering who the conning perpetrator could possibly be. The pacing is good, and the plot of the story is compelling and attention to detail is great and clearly exhibits the author’s talent as a writer. The characters couldn’t be better. This action-packed mystery also has a budding romance in its midst. Intrigue and romance are a great combination. Paula and Neil have a lot in common, one being their dedication to their jobs. This killer has everyone on their toes and seems to be one step ahead of the police. That is until the end game. What a great read!
CAMPUS KILLER is a suspenseful page-turner that keeps you glued to your seat and the story. This author is fast becoming one of my favorite. I read this book in one sitting. I recommend this whodunit to the mystery lover in you.
