REVIEW: The final installment of the Six Gems Series is BREAK POINT, featuring Teagen Williams. Throughout the series Teagen has provided valuable advice to her friends. She has a successful real estate business and is not interested in a relationship for herself. In addition to seeking validation from her controlling father, we learn why she is so driven. Years ago, Teagen and her boyfriend Dominic Fletcher were on the road to becoming national tennis stars. That was until Teagen experienced a career ending injury. Her career and her relationship went up in flames. Dominic made sacrifices to support his family, which included his single mom and three younger siblings. On the surface, he chose his career over love and Teagen ultimately did the same thing.

Teagen joins the local country club to help network for her business and of course, being a former tennis star, she is recruited to help with a fundraising campaign. While Dominic is on hiatus in advance of preparing for his next big match, he has agreed to be the celebrity face of the same campaign. When Teagen and Dominic see each other for the first time in ten years, all those feelings come rushing back, including the hurt. Dominic has been thinking about Teagen a lot leading up to their reunion. Over the years he realized she is his first and only love.

As the story progresses, we learn there are other factors that contribute to their breakup. At the end of the day, they didn’t fight for each other. Teagen has unresolved feelings and is still angry with Dominic. He tries a different approach by “killing” her with kindness to move pass their issues. They quickly realize that their flame is still burning. All it takes is a kiss and those feelings come rushing back. Teagan and Dominic have an explosive chemistry and a strong physical connection. They do, however, jump to physical without a resolution of their past issues.  This leads to a bumpy road to HEA.

As with prior books in the series, I enjoyed the interactions of the gems friend group. Whether it’s a call or attending an important event, they remain supportive, and this has always been a highlight of each book. They also talk some sense into Teagan to get her to acknowledge that she has never dealt with the breakup. I enjoyed
BREAK POINT and highly recommend the entire Six Gems Series.
