ROMANTIC SUSPENSE

REVIEW: Damien Green’s latest hunt is a page-turner. Who is Damien Green? He is the MMC in the current series, Blurred Lines, written by the prolific mastermind of Romantic Suspense, Keith Thomas Walker. Damien is the Overbrook Meadows Chief of Detectives and a skillful profiler who is respected by his colleagues. When the story begins, Damien is getting married to Kelli Warren, the love of his life who has some investigative skills of her own. I loved the startling contrast of the blissful scene in Chapter 1 to that of the gruesome scene in Chapter 2. Let the page-turning begin!

Damien and the Overbrook Police Department have a serial killer who is targeting prostitutes. Meanwhile, Kelli begins her Private Investigator business and gets her first client. She successfully solves the case, but it’s the next case that will almost take her out. Sorry, that’s all the tea you get about that. In the meantime, while Damien and his detectives work on their case, they discover that there is not one killer, but two, a copycat killer. The Bleeder, as he is named, is as ghoulish as a killer can get, but to have two suspects changes the whole scenario. I loved this story because the suspense from Damien’s case and Kelli’s case is riveting. The lines get blurred again.

The cast of characters who play minor roles in this story are too many to name. They range from detectives, FBI agents, a TV commentator to a mother whose child is missing. Keith Walker is a master at bringing an eclectic group of characters together who enhance the story’s depth and help to advance the plot. As for Damien and Kelli, their love story continues.

If you want to get the full effect of this series, I highly recommend that you begin with
BLURRED LINES: The Monster, then BLURRED LINES: Cop Killer. BLURRED LINES: Copycat Killer is a winner.
