ROMANTIC SUSPENSE (Inspirational)

REVIEW: Damien Green, newly appointed Chief of Detectives, his lover, Kelli Warren, the police department, and the city of Overbrook Meadows are all overwhelmed by the latest killings that included a police officer. If you read BLURRED LINES: The Monster, then you are familiar with the lead characters, Damien and Kelli. Damien is not only a top cop, but he also has sharp profiler skills that when he speaks, his colleagues and higher ups on the force listen. His love interest, Kelli, is no slouch either. Although a teacher by profession, she is like a dog with a bone when it comes to investigating a case where innocent children are involved. We discovered that in the first book of this series.
This story is guaranteed to have you turning pages. Damien is relentless in his quest to solve the “Cop Killer” case by the “Two-Shot Killer.” You will understand that fully when you read the story. The storyline is so tight that Mr. Walker has no problem with allowing the readers to know exactly who-dun-it, why and how. It is on Damien and the Overbrook Meadows PD, and every law enforcement agency he has at his disposal to solve this case. There are references to real life killers like Son of Sam, and the DC Sniper, when referring to the sicko who is killing residents of Overbrook Meadows. At every turn of the page the suspense deepens and pulls you further into the web of secrets and twists.
The lines again become blurred when we find that Kellie is involved in her own investigation. That is all the tea I can spill about her involvement except to say it’s thorough and it solidifies her relationship with Damien and her future. Although the side characters play minor roles, they are significant when it comes to solving the case. Damien and his officers pull the pieces of testimonies together like a well-done jigsaw puzzle. Keith Thomas Walker has an undeniable skill when it comes to writing crime stories. I enjoyed this one immensely, and I know you will too. I especially loved the Epilogue where Damien and Kelli get a chance to take care of some personal stuff that had been on the back burner.
BLURRED LINES: Cop Killer is a winner! I recommend it for your reading pleasure
