Review: Billion Dollar Ruse

REVIEW: Desmond Tesfay, the MMC, is in a bind. He needs a big money deal like yesterday in order to ensure that his family’s aviation company, Tesfay International, will retain its reputation as a giant in the aviation industry, and that his deceased father’s legacy will be revived. Desmond’s backstory that revolves around his father’s death is significant to the storyline, and you’ll understand the “why” when you read the story.

Desmond solicits the help of Valentina “Val” Montgomery, the personal assistant to teenage heiress Hind Al-Bahri, the daughter of the potential client whom Desmond is counting on financially to revive his company. Hind’s father, Sheik Rashid, also happens to be the new president of aviation for his country. Desmond needs this deal like a baby needs milk. His future, his family’s future, and his company’s future hang in the balance. Valentina also has a few personal issues that are very concerning. Her issues are personal, and center around money and an A-W-O-L husband. Valentina’s backstory will explain how a young woman from New Orleans ended up in the oil-rich nation of Bahrain Al-Dahab working as a “babysitter”. The attraction between Desmond and Valentina is apparent, and Desmond is determined to make it permanent through his money, influence, and a three-carat diamond ring.

I loved Hind’s role in this story as the uber-rich heiress, and her unwitting role in bringing our couple together. I also loved the HFN for Desmond and Valentina that marked a clean slate without fear or judgement.
