REVIEW: Kaylin Sampson is a cruise ship assistant manager. When she is passed over for a promotion she is disappointed and decides to take a vacation to regroup. This was to be her alone time to relax and have fun. She wasn’t expecting her ex to be on her Alaskan adventure. Ethan Harrington is the most fun person Kaylin knows. They had spent time together before but when things started to get serious Kaylin broke off the relationship. Giving her ship cabin away for a good cause, Ethan offers Kaylin the second bedroom in his VIP suite. Kaylin hesitates for a moment but then agrees making it clear to Ethan they could only be friends. Their relationship becomes intimate again, and their friendship grows and so does their love for each other. The love they tried hard to resist.
Kaylin works on a cruise ship, and she likes her independence. She had a rotten childhood and never wanted to be dependent on anyone for survival again. She worked hard to get where she is and the only person she could depend on is her sister and herself. Ethan is an ex Olympic swimmer still recovering from an injury. In the meantime he has been working as a swim coach. But now he’s ready to make a career change and maybe do some endorsement.
AN ALASKAN ARRANGEMENT is a story about two individuals with commitment issues on a cruise together but not really together. Kaylin and Ethan decide to go on a white water rafting excursion. Because of a mishap, they capsize and get separated from the ship and have to depend on each other to make it through. This enforced time together allows Kaylin and Ethan to realize that they have deep feelings for each other they have been trying to deny. Feelings that refuse to stay hidden. The author did an excellent job. The characters are well-defined and likable. This story is a good read, easy to follow with lots of excitement, funny incidents, secrets, surprises, and most of all love.
AN ALASKAN ARRANGEMENT is a good narrative. This page-turner is a funny, passionate, and sexy read from beginning to end and sure to put a smile on your face.
