Rachel won me over immediately. She is driven and self-possessed, and her determination to keep her heart safely behind schedule is both completely understandable and endlessly amusing to watch unravel. Noah is the kind of hero who does not need to announce himself — he is steady, genuine, and absolutely certain about what he wants. Together they are wonderful. Their history gives every scene a delicious undercurrent of tension, and their banter made me laugh out loud more than once.
What I also loved is the town of Service itself. Siera London makes it feel genuinely alive — warm, community-minded, and full of the kind of people who make leaving feel like a loss and staying feel like coming home. It grounds the romance beautifully and gives the story real heart beyond the laughs.
A HARD HABIT TO BREAK is romantic comedy done exactly right — fun, engaging, and anchored by two characters whose journey back to each other feels completely earned. I cannot wait to see which Calvary brother gets his story next.
