ABOUT THE AUTHOR

· Describe a typical day for Shelia. A typical day starts with my regular job as a technical writer. From there, I manage my social media accounts across my personal platforms and the Writer Boss Babe page. Most days include a mix of marketing and writing, sometimes one and sometimes both, depending on what needs my focus. It is a constant balance of creativity, strategy, and discipline.

· What do you enjoy most about being a writer? What I enjoy most is being able to explore new worlds and characters, and connecting with people who share the same love for books.

· What, to you, is the most difficult part of the writing process? Editing. It requires patience, discipline, and the ability to look at your own work with a critical eye, but it is also where the story truly becomes stronger.

· How has the industry changed since your first book, MY INVISIBLE HUSBAND, was published in 2006? The industry has changed significantly since 2006. Publishing is far more digital and accessible, with eBooks, audiobooks, and social media playing a major role in how stories are discovered and promoted. Authors now have more control over their careers, but they are also expected to be more involved in marketing, branding, and audience engagement. While the fundamentals of good storytelling remain the same, the business side of writing has become much more hands on.

· What do you enjoy doing when you are not writing? When I am not writing, I enjoy reading, creating graphics, and spending quality time with my family. Those moments help recharge my creativity and keep me grounded.

ABOUT THE BOOKS

· Tell us a bit about WORTH THE RISK. WORTH THE RISK is a glamorous, emotionally layered romance set in the high stakes world of Hollywood. It follows an ambitious woman who has built her career under the spotlight and a man whose fame brings both opportunity and temptation. As attraction grows, secrets and public pressure threaten everything they are trying to build. At its core, the story explores love, trust, ambition, and what it truly means to risk your heart when the whole world is watching.

· What motivated you to write a story set in Hollywood? People often view celebrities as characters in a movie or a book, but I wanted to show that they are just like everyone else. They have real feelings, deal with real issues, fall in love, get hurt, and make mistakes. Setting the story in Hollywood allowed me to explore fame and vulnerability at the same time and show the human side behind the spotlight.

· What quality/characteristic, do you believe, makes your books special? I believe what makes my books special is the emotional honesty in the characters. They are relatable, flawed, and human, which allows readers to see themselves in the story. I focus on authentic relationships, real life challenges, and love that feels earned, not idealized.

· What is next for Shelia? In 2026, I will be releasing two more books in the Women in Hollywood collection, NO ONE HAS TO KNOW and OFF SCRIPT, continuing stories centered on love, ambition, and life in the spotlight. I have also created tools that support writers behind the scenes, and I plan to continue expanding the Writer Boss Babe brand while staying focused on telling compelling love stories for my readers.

ABOUT THE READERS

· If there was one thing you could tell your readers about Shelia, what would it be? I am a hopeless romantic at heart. I believe in love, second chances, and the idea that no matter how complicated life gets, love is always worth the risk. That belief is at the center of every story I write.

· What advice would you give to an aspiring author? Write. Write. And write some more. The only way to grow as a writer is to keep showing up to the page, even on the days when it feels hard or uncomfortable. Consistency builds confidence and skill.

· How can readers reach you?
