Review: Snapshot

REVIEW: While on assignment in the Bahamas, Photojournalist Kennedy Wade, unknowingly photographs something she shouldn’t have. She is drugged, all of her electronic devices are stolen, and she is left naked with no memory of what happened the last forty-eight hours. She returns home from her assignment confused, frustrated, and ashamed. It becomes clear that something is terribly wrong when she arrives back home in Chicago, and her Condo is broken into. Things take a scary turn when she feels she’s being watched. Zeke Foster has been given the assignment to use his unique skills to retrieve Kennedy’s photos and neutralize her. Having come up empty when he searched her room in the Bahamas, Zeke follows her home to Chicago and continue his surveillance. Things don’t add up, and Zeke starts to feel that he has been lied to. Maybe Kennedy is not the threat he’s been led to believe.

Kennedy is a successful photojournalist who takes great pleasure in her work. She is a sensitive, caring person who will put her life on the line for the greater good. No matter what the cost may be. Zeke is a former Special Ops agent who sells his services for hire. He loves his country and is committed to taking down anyone who is regarded as a threat to the American way of life.

SNAPSHOT is an exhilarating read that keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. The author does a great job with the storyline, and the characters are realistic and relatable. The pacing is good and definitely keeps you turning the pages. This story is a probable depiction of things that are happening in the world today. The scenes are detailed and thought-provoking and, in some instances, chilling. At first glance, the heroine seems to be one step ahead of her stalker. But then he does something to remind her that whatever she goes, he will always find her. Zeke is a natural born killer, but towards the end of the narrative, he develops a soft spot for Kennedy and her situation. Suddenly, her stalker becomes her personal bodyguard. What a great way to end the story!

This was a fascinating story that’s sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. I enjoyed reading it and you will too. SNAPSHOT is a story you’ll want to add to your reading list. Enjoy!
