DO ME - Sheryl Lister
REVIEWER: Brenda Larnell | RATING: A
REVIEW: Talented Sheryl Lister has once again given her readers a sexy, grown folk story that not only entertains but informs. In this story of the Irresistible Husband Series, we are introduced to Braxton Harper and Londyn Grant. There is one thing they have in common. They both are constantly reminded by friends and family members that it’s time. Time for what, you may ask? It’s time that they find that special person to love.
Braxton has been accused of being too “picky”, and Londyn has been advised to give love another chance. Their circumstances and life experiences are played out in this well-developed story. I like how Ms Lister builds the relationship between Braxton and Londyn as we experience the “let’s take it slow” love affair. The reader has a ring-side seat as their relationship gets stronger and sexier. With the help of some wonderful dates, sizzling kisses and grown and sexy music, the walls slowly come tumbling down. The music selections that drop during the course of the story are lit! Kudos to the author for the infusion of songs that help to tell this story. While the music is good, Londyn’s back story renders a more serious note. I’ll allow you to discover what happened to our heroine when she was involved in an earlier affair pre-Braxton. It also causes our hero to re-evaluate his related experience pre-Londyn. Great piece of writing!
The family and friends, the side characters who complete this story, contribute to the intrigue and development of the main characters. We know exactly where they stand in urging Braxton and Londyn to find their soul mate. Braxton’s mother is a hoot! There’s a character who lacks any redeeming qualities. You’ll see when you read the story. The HEA is hot and wholly satisfying!
DO ME is an excellent read, and I recommend it for your reading pleasure. It is also one of three books in the Irresistible Husband Series. I also recommend that you add the other two books, LOVE ME by Delaney Diamond and SHOW ME by Sharon C. Cooper to your list of books to read. They enhance each other. Hint: The heroes are best friends. Enjoy! You can thank me later!
