REVIEW: Those Valentine men! With each book of the In The Heart Of A Valentine series, the Valentine family is becoming one of my favorite book families. GIVE ME A REASON features Lance Valentine, award winning film director and Allison Sullivan, newsroom assignment editor for WTZB television station in Chicago, IL.

The steamy, sexy tone of the story is set from the first page when we encounter Allison and Lance sneaking away from Camilla and Hunter Valentine’s (
NO HOLDS BARRED, Book #1) wedding festivities to enjoy a little one-on-one time in what they assume to be a vacant room. I’ll let you discover why their tryst was cut short. When she returns to the wedding reception, Allison finds herself involved in a very engrossing conversation about her health with Leslie Valentine, the patriarch of the Valentine family. This conversation sparks the idea that prompts the heroine to consider that she might not be the woman for Lance. It’s a serious issue, and because Lance has a medical degree, he recognizes the symptoms. Yes, friends, this brother abandoned the medical profession to follow his passion to direct movies. Those Valentine men! I won’t reveal any spoilers, but Allison’s health almost becomes a game-changer in her and Lance’s relationship. There is also a charity bachelor’s auction that adds to Allison’s angst about Lance. All I can say is that Lance is very patient and focused. I’ll just leave that right there.

One of the highlights of the book is Allison and Lance’s uber-romantic trip to India that included some passionate Italian phrases, and a most sensual sunset rendezvous on the Zuri White Sands of Goa, India. Great scene! Another highlight is revisiting the Valentine family. We not only catch up with Xavier and Corinne from
A RISQUÉ ENGAGEMENT (Book #2) but also Raphael Valentine is mentioned quite often. Could he be the next Valentine brother to get his own story? Stay tuned.

I enjoyed this story.
GIVE ME A REASON is entertaining, sexy and heart-warming. The HEA is a romance lover’s delight. I recommend this book, and I look forward to reading about the next impressive and accomplished Valentine man.
