REVIEW:  Danica Nillson meets Antonio Lorenzetti at their mutual friend’s wedding.  Judging by the amount of attention Antonio gives Danica during the wedding reception, it is very clear that he is interested in her.  Their mutual interest in each other leads to an explosive one-night stand either one will ever forget.  Thinking they would never see each other again, Danica and Antonio go on with their lives on opposite sides of the world.  Never say never.  One year later these two meet in a very unlikely place.  Danica, lovingly known as ‘Dani’, to family and friends is visiting her old mentor Chef Marcello in Milan at his restaurant and he falls ill. Being a first-rate chef herself, Dani jumps right in and takes charge in the kitchen.  Unknown to Dani, her friend and mentor is an uncle to Toni Lorenzetti, the man she spent the night with a year ago.

Danica is a chef extraordinaire whose talents are hidden behind her well-known boss.  She is too gifted in the kitchen to allow someone else to take credit for her work.  Her wish is to stop being a ‘ghost chef’ and come into her own.  Bittersweet, tragic circumstances allow her to do just that.  Antonio is a divorced millionaire restaurateur.  He’s tired of the jet-set lifestyle and is looking for some stability in his life.  He thinks he has found that in Danica.  Toni’s only problem is convincing Danica that, even though they come from different worlds, they belong together.

A TASTE OF PLEASURE is an entertaining, captivating story. I love this author’s work and she did a great job as usual. There are no slow areas and each page keeps you reading for more.  I love the fact that the heroine has curves and the hero is still head over heels for her. It proves that you don’t have to be a size 0 to find love and happiness. The chemistry between them is palpable and the secondary characters add the extra push to the story to make it more plausible.  Italy and New York are excellent backdrops for this page-turner. The international connection gives this story a more romantic feel.  Dani and Toni have a knowledge of food and wine which provides them with more in common than just their sizzling sexual attraction, which by the way is off the charts.  They complement each other, and their differences make them perfect for one another.

I would recommend
A TASTE OF PLEASURE to add to your reading list. It is one you can curl up on your sofa and settle in for hours of enjoyable reading. And I promise, you won’t be bored or fall asleep.
