REVIEW: The Uncut Diamonds, the offshoots of the Black Diamonds, are at it again in, HER PROTECTOR, the third book of this series that features Kent Baker, Investment Broker, and Dr. Lotus Masters, Anesthesiologist. The primary setting is Atlanta, Georgia. Get ready for another adventure with the Diamonds.

It has taken five years for Kent to realize that Lotus is “the one”. Lotus knew, but she had to wait until Kent heeded the universe calling to him confirming that it was Lotus all the time. The ‘call’ to Kent came in the form of a spoken word poem titled “See”. You see, Lotus is a follower of the Kemetic way of life and Kent, well, Kent is Kent, and you will get that when you read the book. However, in spite of the different way they view the world, their changing view of each other is one of the highlights of this book. Another highlight is, of course, the intrigue and mayhem that forces Kent to transform from the brilliant investment broker to the uncut diamond protector. Lotus is in need of protection from the villainous forces who threaten her life, and Kent is just the man who can “Handle it”! The storyline is tight and the familiar characters from previous books who reappear, along with new characters, help to advance the storyline. Believe me, there is a lot going on in this story, so I hope that you have been keeping up. Some old mysteries are revealed, while new ones are launched. There is an imminent feeling that things are about to really come to an explosive head, and the Uncut Diamonds will be handling and standing along side their mentors and trainers, the Black Diamonds! What a series!

I say this often, and I will say it again. If you are not familiar with this talented author and her enjoyable books,
The Black Diamond Series, The Uncut Series, and The Black Land Series, you are missing out on some great reads. Not only will you be treated to some great contemporary romances, but you will also find yourself enveloped in mystery and intrigue, a winning combination. Highly recommended!
