SYNOPSIS: Acting CEO Dana Meadows is being groomed to one day take over her family's multimillion-dollar empire. She doesn't need a perfectionist executive coach to take her through the paces…even if he's the sexiest hunk she's ever laid eyes on. But Kent Fraser isn't taking no for an answer-in business or in pleasure.

REVIEW: Dana Meadows is the acting CEO for Meadows Media, her family’s multimillion-dollar empire.  Dana works hard but sometimes she plays just as hard.  But now it’s time to get serious about running the company.  This is where executive coach Kent Frazer comes in.  Kent is the very best at what he does and is hired by Dana’s grandmother to whip her into shape before she takes over as CEO.  Kent has his work cut out for him when he realizes Dana doesn’t want his help.  He and Dana butt heads more than once during their association.  She has been groomed to sit at the helm of the family business and has her own ideas about how to run the company.  She feels she needs coaching from no one.  To make the situation even more interesting, Dana and Kent are trying to fight a very intense, sizzling attraction between them.

Dana Meadows is a savvy business woman poised to take over her family’s company when her grandmother retires.  Grace Meadows is a legend in the business world and Dana feels a little anxiety at having to fill her grandmother’s shoes.  Despite her young age she has the training and years of experience to run the company efficiently with great success.  But deep inside there is a niggling fear that she won’t measure up.
Kent Frazer is the consummate professional in every way.  He has never crossed the line and gotten involved with a client but there is always a first time for everything.  He comes from very meager beginnings and has worked hard to build his business into the enterprise it is today.  His business reputation is everything to him and he has no intention of jeopardizing it to indulge his inappropriate desire for Dana Meadows.  But resisting Dana’s allure proves more difficult than he anticipated.

ONE OF A KIND is set in New York and London.  A family empire plagued by years of complicated and strained relationships.  A strong set of well-defined characters cement the foundation for this story and series, especially the strong matriarch of the Meadows family.  Grace Meadows is a force to be reckoned with in the business world as well as in her family.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first entry into this new family series by Ms. Monkou.  With all the underlying currents in this first book, the Meadows family promises to be a very intriguing series to follow.  I look forward to the next story.
