REVIEW:
At first glance, Alexandria
Lord-Wright-Foster is the epitome of the spoiled wealthy heiress. However, looks
can be deceiving; especially once she learns that her deceased husband had two
other wives. Hunter Smith is an Atlanta security specialist and a friend of
Chris Foster, the brother of the deceased. Alex and Hunter first meet when he
arrives at her family’s company to escort her to her husband’s funeral in
California. The scene he encounters upon his arrival can only be described as
bedlam. Hunter is astonished by Alex’s beauty, but quickly buys into her spoiled
princess persona; that is, until Alex proves him wrong.
Alex has finally decided that it’s time to stand up for herself and take charge
of her life. I love the fact the she still remains true to herself and doesn’t
compromise her beliefs, regardless of what others think of her. Hunter is the
type of man that many women dream of having. He is supportive and encouraging.
His encouragement gave her the strength she needed when all the odds were
against her. The supporting characters added just the right amount of drama and
support. In the end the people who eventually came to her aid were proof that
the way you treat the people in your life will often determine who will be there
for you when you need them the most.
THIS TIME FOR GOOD is the first book of The Three Mrs. Fosters
continuity from Kimani Press. Ms. Green does a great job exploring each of the
wives' reactions and feelings when they discover they are all married to the
same man. She is able to create characters that eventually realized where to
place the blame and were able to get past the pettiness and work through a messy
and devastating situation.
I must admit that when I first read the premise behind this story, I wasn’t the
least bit interested; however, Ms. Green does a great job. I enjoyed THIS
TIME FOR GOOD.
