REVIEW:  SWEET LIKE HONEY by Kim Louise' is not just sweet -- it is scorching hot.  For readers who like their romance spicy -- this is the one for you.

Sex Guru Honey Ambrose emanates sex, is surrounded by sex, literally sells sex, and yet she’s never been with a man or desires to -- until she meets Houston Pace.  Hired by Honey’s brother to get her house in order, Houston realizes her clutter is an external indication of a much deeper and painful internal problem.  This is Honey’s way of burying herself and her emotions from others.  Yet when Honey meets Houston she is determined to clean not just her house but also her soul.  Houston is willing to help but Honey’s old hurts run deep and family obligations even deeper.  It will take time to work through Honey’s emotional baggage but time is running out for Houston.

The story grabs and holds the reader’s attention from the get-go.  It is fascinating to see Honey’s character unfold and the layers of her personality uncovered.  The same goes for Houston who discovers in himself patience and love he did not know he possessed.

As far as characters go, Honey is something else.  She is one of the most likeable characters I’ve read about in quite some time.  Houston likewise is a great character with a wonderful balance of being hard as nails and yet soft and caring.  Ms. Louise does a masterful job of bringing these characters to life.  There are other characters such as Honey’s two brothers, a younger sister. and array of Honey helpers who round out the list.  There isn’t a solid sense that another story will develop from another character but only time and Ms. Louise can tell.

The novel is set in a small town called Cheyenne but when Honey and Houston meets he is getting ready to move to California which makes this location also significant to the story.  The dialogues are pretty saucy and the entire story reads like one big session of foreplay leading up to a toe curling love fest between Honey and Houston.

SWEET LIKE HONEY is a fiercely entertaining and humor-filled novel.  It’s a fast read with funny and memorable characters and a well written story.  In fact, I’d dare say the novel is educational.  I found it hard to put the book down.  Get this book.  Read this book.  You’ll see why.  You won’t be disappointed and you will be thoroughly entertained.
