SYNOPSIS: Forced to accompany her mother to her grandmother's, Tamika can barely stand being with her controlling, critical mom. After they arrive, her mother parties with her old high-school crowd. REVIEW: SHE SAID, SHE SAID is a story about a mother and daughter who can't seem to deal with each other. Tamika has to deal with loss, her controlling, critical mother and change all at the same time. Tamika's best friend has to move away and her boyfriend ends their relationship. Then she has to go to her grandmother's on a so called mother-daughter trip.
I liked reading the story because Tamika's mother started acting like she was the child and that let Tamika see that being responsible is something that is important in life.
