REVIEW:
Ava Peretti is a wonderful
aunt and friend to Starr, Summer and their children. She has been with both
women through so much and for that they are so thankful for her. One day Ava can
no longer hide the horrendous pain that she has held in for so long. She finally
has to share with her friends that she had a child while in college. The
revelation is just sinking in when she also tells everyone that because she was
so ashamed of her actions that she gave her only baby up for adoption. Ava’s
friends are understanding but are also upset that she felt that she couldn’t
come to them when she needed them most. With the knowledge of their love and
support, Ava makes the decision to find her baby at all costs.
Langston Warrington is a refined gentleman and the heir to the Warrington
holdings. He has taken over the family Law Practice since the death of his
father. Langston has so many regrets in his life . He was in love with Ava
Peretti and allowed his mother to run her out of his life. The one regret he
doesn’t have is saving his only child from the fate planned by his parents.
Instead of supporting their son when he needed it, they were only concerned
about the family name and how things would look. Langston has to intercede for
his daughter Zoe in so many ways but when he hears her prayers one night and
says “I want a mommy to Love me”, he decides to move heaven and earth to make
his child happy.
Victoria Wells has given us another wonderfully written story with
Key To My Heart.
The story is well developed and flows smoothly throughout the entire book. She
has brought back the supporting characters of Summer, Starr, Kevin, Karen, and
Nicholas. The expanded characters of Grandmother Warrington, the Piretti’s,
Janet and Dominic only give the reader more insight into family dynamics good
and bad. Ava’s friends didn’t persecute Ava for her actions because the pain and
guilt she has carried inside was already horrible for her. What they do make her
understand is that when you have a loving friends and family, you are supported
and loved. The pain that you feel, they feel also because they have also
suffered a loss by not knowing there was a precious child born who is growing up
without their love. Langston on the other hand learns the ugly truth about his
mother and how she really feels about him. How much forgiveness is there?
Key To My
Heart shows an author
with a wonderful story that steals your heart…
