If you’re looking for an inspiring story about healing from past and current pains, with two little girls then THE ADOPTION SURPRISE is the book for you. Oh, did I mention there is also a message about love and positive friendships.
Kelsey Harris is this very passionate loving, Godly woman who is trying to figure out her new role in life. She goes from being Auntie Kelsey to Mama Kelsey fast. Throughout this story, Kelsey struggles with seeing herself in that mother role. Not only is she questioning herself, but she is doing a little with her faith too. Then enters Pastor Zach Johnson, the handsome man with a big presence and calming spirt with his very bubbly six-year-old daughter. Zach is done with being a pastor after losing the love of his life and feels like moving to a small town and starting over is the thing to do, but what do you do when God has led you to a place for your own healing and for you to follow his plan?
I always hold my breath when it comes to reading a book where religion is brought up or explored. Being a minister’s daughter, I know how important talking about your spirituality is but putting what you talk about in print is a very big deal. However, I will say time and time again that Ms. Jackson did an awesome job. This book, about the bond that was created years in the making, is amazing. I really wanted to see a snapshot of the future for Zach, Kelsey, Mia, and Morgan because the four of them are great together. Gift a copy THE ADOPTION SURPRISE to someone that needs a great quick read that fuels the soul and makes you smile.
