The first book of this series is SCION: The Return, and it features Trey Harris, THE man, who is on a mission to finally destroy the Blueprint of Dr. Camille. If you remember, Dr. Camille’s mission is to destroy the Diamonds, and everyone associated with them. Trey, the scion of Uncut Diamond, Trent and his mother, Callie Harris, is wealthy, good-looking, and is endowed with mystical gifts.
Trey is taking the lead against the threat, but just know that the Uncut Diamonds, the Heirs, and the Black Diamonds, Trey’s family, are present and ready to step in if needed. Trey is more than ready to fight to the finish because he was born and trained for such a time as this. The Scion’s team is composed of two people: Journey, his ride and die, and Jared who lends his expertise to the mission. Speaking of Journey, you just know that the “black love” vibes between her and Trey are strong and growing.
THE SCION is definitely a page-turner that you will not want to put down. Get ready for drama, mayhem, and mystery. Yet, the importance of family, black love, and culture are interwoven in everything D Camille writes. While Trey, Journey, and Jared track down the threat to the family, there is one thing you can be sure of. It’s going to be handled! Trey is deadly. At the age of eighteen, he was trained by the Mwuaji, African assassins. He is nobody to be played with. You will totally get it when you read the story. This book ends with a cliffhanger. The next book is SCION: The Pursuit!
