REVIEW:  Ten authors have selected the month of October to release the Bae Reimagined Series. The stories in this series are a reimagining of a fairytale, a modern-day Bae. How ingenious!

RAPHAEL’S TALE by A.C. Arthur reimagines Grimms Fairytale, Rapunzel. This time, Rapunzel is an enforcer for the notorious motorcycle club, the Platinum Ryders. If you are not familiar with the Platinum Ryders, check out COME RIDE WITH ME.

RAPHAEL’S TALE is a fresh, romantic reimagining of Rapunzel. The story is set in the contemporary world with subtle hints of fantasy. It follows Camri Meyers, a woman who has been shaped by isolation and an undeserving past. Camri hasn’t been locked in a literal tower, but her “tower” is the emotional and physical boundaries she’s constructed for survival. Enter Raphael, known as “Rafe”—a man with his own shadows, but a determination to help Camri break free.

I loved this story. Camri is not the passive damsel at all. She’s intelligent and resourceful. Rafe becomes a partner in Camri’s quest for freedom. Their chemistry is off-the-chain, and their emotional connection grows throughout the novel. At the heart of this story
RAPHAEL’S TALE is about liberation, support, and the ability to rewrite your own story. The pacing is steady, with each chapter providing new insights into Camri and Rafe’s backstories.

I recommend
RAPHAEL’S TALE for your reading pleasure. It is an engaging, thought-provoking, and compelling story. Ms. Arthur gives us the comfort of a classic fairy tale as well as a provocative modern romance.
