REVIEW: Remi Hawkins has taken a month off from the rodeo circuit to visit family and help her cousin, Amy, take care of her infant daughter. Remi is used to the  bright lights of the city and isn’t sure if she will survive a full month in the quiet town of Tenacity, Montana. That is until she meets handsome rancher Shane Corey. Suddenly, Tenacity’s appeal has improved tremendously. Even though there’s an instant attraction, these two have been burned by love before. Therefore, Shane and Remi insist that friendship is all they can offer each other. When they start spending more time together, the walls around their hearts start to crumble.

Shane is nursing a broken heart and vows never to get involved with another woman. It was a struggle not to be bitter after spending years trying to make it work with a woman who didn’t love him as he thought. Remi is a city girl with an outgoing personality and comes from a long line of rodeo riders. She loves traveling around the country as a favorite with the rodeo circuit.

LASSOED BY A MAVERICK is slow sizzling romance story between a beautiful city girl and a handsome rancher who appears to be satisfied living a small town life. Ms. Alers has created two amazing characters that are opposite in every way. Neither Shane nor Remi is looking for love. But sometime Cupid’s arrow hits you when you least expect it and works its magic. This story is well-written with well-defined, and likable characters. It’s another page turner by this author that’s sure to keep you reading for hours because it’s hard to stop when the story and writing is this good.

LASSOED BY A MAVERICK is a good read. Shane and Remi were in denial about their feelings. In the end they decide to take another chance at love, but this time with the right person.
