REVIEW: Welcome back to the world of the fabulous Gold family. The story begins in Saint Lucia at the Marina Bay, a luxury resort where the Gold family and friends have gathered for the fourteen-day family gathering/retreat and wedding of Chaz Warren and Riley Gold (A PRIVATE AFFAIR, Book #1). All of the Golds are present and accounted for, and the family’s pre-wedding activities are on and popping. However, there is one small detail that no one planned, and that is the presence of Grace Hopkins, journalist and ex-girlfriend of Ronald Martin Gold III, aka RJ, heir to the Gold fashion empire. Grace’s presence is a double whammy. Not only has it been 10 years since she turned down RJ’s marriage proposal, but she is also there to do an exclusive story on a very touchy subject, the story that prompted the feud between Patriarch Ron Gold and fashion rival, Tobias King.

I’ll let you discover how Grace is able to get an invite to this “private” wedding. One of my favorite scenes is when RJ discovers that Grace is at the resort. It begins with a walk on the beach and an encounter with a vibrator. That’s it.  You will have to read the story for more. The wedding takes a back seat to the reunion of RJ and Grace after ten years of separation. Talented writer, A.C. Arthur, lays out a well-written story that not only explains what caused Grace to turn down RJ’s marriage proposal, but also the secret story behind the Gold-King feud. Plus, nobody writes love scenes like Ms Arthur. Put your fans and cool drinks on stand-by because the steam is real when Grace and RJ rekindle their relationship. That darn vibrator even shows up again!

Of course, the Gold family members and friends serve as the minor characters who lend support and advice to the hero and heroine. The robust cast of characters are instrumental in supporting the dynamic storyline. The Second Chance at Love trope is highlighted by a wonderful HEA.

GIVE ME MORE is an enjoyable and engaging story, and I recommend it. I have also enjoyed the previous three books, A PRIVATE AFFAIR, AT YOUR SERVICE, and THE LAST AFFAIR that feature Gold family members. They can be read as stand-alones, but I suggest you read them in order for a thorough understanding of the family dynamic. Enjoy!
