ROMANTIC SUSPENSE

REVIEW: FOREVER AGAIN is the latest installment in the fast-paced Cordoba Agency Series. Alissa Francis is an assassin, and we get to see her in action as soon as the book starts. We understand why she is a member of the agency: She is not to be messed with! Alissa has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Hossam Jalal, a French Arab man who fell in love with Alissa when he saw her in action on a mission. Alissa is not interested in marriage, but being with Hossam is disarming. He makes her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. However, because of a misunderstanding, Alissa broke things off with Hossam about a year ago.

While Alissa is on vacation back home in St. Thomas, Hossam seizes the moment to convince her to take him back. He won’t give up easily. He loves her “beautiful brown eyes that lit up when she was happy”. A casual dinner between the pair turned into a mission of sorts as they try to figure out why an important figure on the Island was killed. Alissa and Hossam work together to investigate, which leads to a Pastor of a mega Church who is delusional in his views and uses the Bible to manipulate his followers. During their covert operation, there is a lot of adrenaline and the passion that Alissa and Hossam share cannot be denied. A simple kiss leads to a promise of much more.

Hossam knows he messed up, but he is sincere in his feelings for Alissa. Alissa has a fear of losing something, which is triggered by previous losses that shaped her childhood. As soon as I thought the chain of events was predictable, Ms. Diamond added a plot twist that I wasn’t expecting.

As with prior books in the series,
FOREVER AGAIN has action and suspense as well as a couple with strong chemistry. I enjoyed how Ms. Diamond highlighted the rich culture and dialect of the Virgin Islands. I enjoyed FOREVER AGAIN and highly recommend it
