In 1995, after two attempts, I was offered a contract by Kensington Publishing Corp. for two romance novels for their Arabesque division. My first, AT FIRST SIGHT, published July 1996, was followed by a short story, "Second Chance at Love", and included in the anthology, MAMA DEAR (May 1997). In August 1997, A TIME FOR US was released (originally the first half of a story I wrote on a $100 bet). A TEST OF TIME, part two of the original A TIME FOR US manuscript, was published November 1999. My most recent novel, FIRST LOVE, (August 2000) was actually the first manuscript I submitted to Kensington, which they rejected. I live in Wappingers Fall, NY, and am the proud mother of two fine sons, Michael, 25, and Douglas II, 14. FERGUSSON, MAGGIE - LIST OF BOOKS
Aisha Ford resides in the Midwest with her parents and younger sister. She currently has two inspirational romance titles published as a part of the Heartsong Presents line from Barbour Publishing. She enjoys writing romance because she loves a good love story. Aisha says she writes romance from an inspirational perspective because she enjoys watching a romance develop with the Lord's help. Her characters have difficulties and struggles, but over the course of time, they can overcome their burdens with the Lord's help. Aisha says: "Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior is very much a part of my daily life. I know how easy it is to get caught up in trying to work everything out on my own. But the Bible reminds me that I am not expected to solve everything in my own power. Matthew 11:28 says, 'Come unto me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I (Jesus) will give you rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.'(NIV). In my stories, there are different obstacles for my characters to overcome, but really, I want to show that God the Father is the inventor of grace and He is patient above what we can ask or imagine. The hero and heroines in my books fall in love, but in order for their love to be complete, they must turn their burdens over to Him." FORD, BETTE - LIST OF BOOKS
